Language week - Scotland

From 5th – 12th October 2017 students from 3abk stayed in Edinburgh, Scotland. All students were accommodated at host families. On weekdays we attended the CES-Language school in the mornings and had trips to varying locations afterwards. Our time at school was very interesting and educational as we learned a lot about Scottish culture and lessons were held playfully.

On our first day we were given a tour around the beautiful town, Edinburgh. Our second afternoon was free and some of our students as well as our teachers attended a Harry-Potter-Tour. As we did not have school on the weekend we climbed Arthur’s seat on Saturday and had a full day excursion to Loch Katrine and Doune Castle on Sunday. This gave us a great impression about the mesmerizing beauty of the Scottish Landscape and taught us a lot about Scottish History. On Tuesday we visited and learned about the partially independent Parliament of Scotland. On our last day our teacher booked tickets for us to explore the Edinburgh Castle. Our flight back to Austria took off at 6:40 on Thursday the 12th.

Overall our trip was a lot of fun, our teachers were super nice, we learned a lot, had good luck with the weather and are looking forward to our next Language week.
